A SWOT analysis, or Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats Analysis is a way for companies to describe their strengths in terms of opportunities. They also look at potential weaknesses that could stop them from achieving success as well as what might threaten the business if it doesn't take action now!

A SWOT analysis is a method for assessing strength and weakness in your company. It exposes many different insight points:

  • The degree to which you're an industry leader or follower - what makes us stand out from other companies?
  • Our opportunities to grow
  • Our ability to adapt to change and new challenges.
  • The assets (human, financial, etc.) we have available to us.

You will often find a SWOT analysis in this square quadrant model to allow the analysis to show what's internal, external, and helpful and harmful.
